Culture& Revolution?
Live vom Dachstock der Autonomen Schule Zürich:
Since the collapse of real socialism and the intensified ideological attacks against everything socialist, many revolutionary organizations and movements in Europe lack awareness of socialist culture and art as a means of supporting their struggle. In the panel “Culture and Revolution?” we will take a look at two strong international revolutionary movements in which art and culture are part of the struggle. We will look at concrete examples from mass work and try to draw parallels to the struggle here, while remaining aware that culture in capitalist centers has a different character than in colonized areas.
With Jun Saturay from the Philippine movement and Deniz Deman from the Kurdish cultural movement.
