On the 8th of September massive Protest broke out in Kathmandu and across the country in Nepal. The Police opened fire on the protesters and killed many young people in the first few hours and the death toll kept rising. What Western Media portrayed as a Gen-Z Protest against the Social Media Ban was at its core a several decade long struggles against corruption erupting and spreading like a wildfire. In a few days the government fell and the palaces burned. In the first episode Namila and Yannick try to give an outlook on Nepal’s History and ask how did we get here. In Episode 2 Sheelasha, Sabnam and Akina are in coversation about the Gen-Z Uprising and give an insight on indigenous struggle in Nepal.
